U.S. REGIONS: WEST 
A storm system will produce rain and mountain snow across Washington, Oregon and northern California 
today. It will be windy as well. The remainder of the region will be dry with some sunshine. Highs will 
range from the 30s in the Cascades to the 70s in Southern California. More rain and higher elevation 
snow across the Northwest tonight. Clear to partly cloudy over the Southwest. On Friday, some rain 
will push southward into central California. Additional rain and snow is expected in the Northwest. 
Southern California and Nevada will be dry with some sun. 

 U.S. REGIONS: ROCKIES/PLAINS 
High pressure over the Rockies today is going to provide tranquil weather across much of the region. 
The Plains will have some sunshine. With the exception of a few flurries in the Bitterroots, 
the Rockies will be dry with some sun. Highs will range from the 20s in central Colorado to 
the 60s in southern Utah. Clear to partly cloudy tonight across the Plains. Some snow is going 
to fall across the northern Rockies. Much of the region will be dry on Friday with some sunshine. 
Gusty winds are expected across the northern Plains. The Bitterroots are going to have some snow. 
 
U.S. REGIONS: SOUTHWEST 
A storm is going to produce rain across eastern Texas today. There will be a few showers in eastern 
Oklahoma. Farther west, it is going to be dry with increasing amounts of sunshine. Highs will range 
from the 30s in the northern New Mexico mountains to the 70s in southern Texas and southwestern 
Arizona. Rain will end across eastern Texas and Oklahoma tonight. The remainder of the region 
will be clear to partly cloudy and dry. On Friday, high pressure is going to provide tranquil 
weather across much of the region under partly to mostly sunny skies. 

U.S. REGIONS: SOUTHEAST 
A storm will produce some rain today in Louisiana and southern Mississippi. Showers are going to 
move across southern Florida. The remainder of the region will be dry with some sunshine. 
Highs will range from the mid-40s in the Smokey Mountains to near 80 in southern Florida. 
Turning out cloudy across the region tonight with rain overspreading much of the area. 
Rain will dampen a majority of the region on Friday. A couple of thunderstorm are possible in 
Florida. It is going to be windy across the lower Mississippi Valley. 

 U.S. REGIONS: MIDWEST 
A cold front can bring some drizzle or flurries to northern Minnesota Thursday night. 
Southern areas will become cloudy with some rain late; dry elsewhere. Lows will range f
rom the 20s in the north to the upper 30s in southern Missouri. Clouds and rain will move 
into southern Illinois, southern Indiana and the Ohio Valley during the afternoon Friday. 
Rain may mix with snow across southeastern Missouri. Areas farther west should be dry with 
some sunshine. 

 U.S. REGIONS: MID-ATLANTIC 
High pressure will result in dry and tranquil conditions across the region Thursday night. 
Low temperatures will range from the mid-20s in the Pennsylvania mountains to the mid-30s 
in southeast Virginia. Friday will turn out cloudy from south to north across most of the 
region. Rain will overspread southern areas later in the morning and into the afternoon. 
Highs will range from the 30s in the Appalachians to near 40 in southeastern Virginia.
 
U.S. REGIONS: NORTHEAST 
Mostly cloudy across Maine Thursday night. Clear to partly cloudy and quiet elsewhere. 
Lows will range from the teens in northern Maine to the mid-30s in New York City. 
High pressure over the region Friday should provide plenty of sunshine. Clouds may 
begin to increase across southern and western parts of the area during the afternoon 
and evening. Highs will be in the 30s and 40s.
