 U.S. REGIONS: WEST 
High pressure will provide dry weather over the region Monday night. Parts of California, especially areas 
prone to Santa Ana winds, will remain windy throughout the night. Parts of Idaho will become very cold. Low 
temperatures will range from near zero in eastern Idaho to 56 in southern California. High pressure will 
provide mostly sunny and dry weather over most of the region Tuesday. Santa Ana winds will continue to 
blow across parts of southern California. High temperatures will range from 25 in eastern Idaho to 78 
in southern California. 

U.S. REGIONS: ROCKIES/PLAINS 
A cold air mass will spread over much of the region Monday night. Skies in the north and west will be clear 
to partly cloudy. A weak low pressure system will bring some light snow and flurries to parts of Nebraska, 
Kansas and South Dakota. Low temperatures will range from near 10 below zero in some cold spots to 22 in 
southeastern Kansas. Tuesday, light snow and flurries will move out of Kansas and Nebraska, but most places 
in those states will remain cloudy. Farther to the north and west, skies will have more sunshine, but the 
weather will be cold. A warm front will move through western Montana, bringing a milder afternoon. 
Highs will range from 15 in northeastern North Dakota to 52 in southwestern Utah. 

 U.S. REGIONS: SOUTHWEST 
Behind a cold front, much of Texas and New Mexico will have cloudy and chilly weather Monday night. Parts of 
Texas will have cold rain, and even some sleet and ice in northern areas. Some rain and mountain snow will 
fall over northern Arizona. Lows will range from 15 in northern Arizona to 63 in southern Texas. Another 
cold front will move into northern Texas Tuesday, bringing unseasonably cold weather behind it. The rest of 
the state will also be rather chilly. Southern parts of Arizona will have some showers, but northeastern 
New Mexico will get a few flurries. Highs will range from 25 in northeastern New Mexico to 76 in 
southwestern Arizona. 

  U.S. REGIONS: SOUTHEAST 
A cold front will move through the northeastern part of the region Monday night. No rain will fall 
along it, but the weather will become noticeably colder. Much of Arkansas will have a light, chilly 
rain, and even some snow and sleet in northern areas. Lows will range from 28 in northern Arkansas 
to 72 in southern Florida. Tuesday, the northern and western parts of the region will have chilly 
weather. Some rain will fall from Louisiana through western Tennessee. Western Kentucky will have 
some light snow and sleet. Much of Florida will be partly sunny and warm. High temperatures will 
range from 33 in northern Kentucky to 87 in southern Florida. 
  
 U.S. REGIONS: MIDWEST 
High pressure to the north will bring very cold weather to much of the region Monday night. 
As low pressure approaches the southwestern part of the region, many southern areas will 
become mostly cloudy, and some light snow or flurries will develop over Missouri. Lows will 
range from 10 below zero in northern Minnesota to 35 in southeastern Missouri. A low pressure 
system will move across Missouri and Illinois Tuesday, bringing light snow with it. The far 
southern parts of those states will have some rain as well. To the north and east, the weather 
will be cold, despite some sunshine. High temperatures will range from 15 in northern Minnesota 
to 39 in southern Missouri. 

 U.S. REGIONS: MID-ATLANTIC 
A cold front will move through the southeastern part of the region Monday night. In most places, 
there will only be some clouds along the front and no precipitation. Low temperatures will range 
from 24 in northern Pennsylvania to 45 in southeastern Virginia. Behind a cold front, chilly 
weather will envelop the region Tuesday. Most areas will have a good deal of sunshine, but 
clouds will increase in western areas during the afternoon. Late in the day, the mountains of 
West Virginia could have some snow. High temperatures will range from 30 in northern Pennsylvania 
to 54 in southeastern Virginia. 

 U.S. REGIONS: NORTHEAST 
A cold front will move off the East Coast Monday night. Some rain and snow showers will develop 
along it in southern and central New England. Farther west, the weather will be mostly dry and 
rather chilly. Low temperatures will range from 20 in northern Maine to 40 in the New York City 
area. Tuesday will be partly sunny for much of the region. Despite the sunshine, the weather will 
be rather cold for this time of year. High temperatures will range from 25 in northern Maine to 
47 in southeastern New England. Clouds will increase over southwestern New York during 
the afternoon.
