U.S. REGIONS: ROCKIES/PLAINS Dry across the entire region Saturday night under a clear to partly cloudy sky. It will be quite cold in the northern High Plains and the Dakotas with lows in the teens and 20s. Not as cold in the central Plains and central Rockies with lows in the 30s and 40s. Cold high pressure will build into the Dakotas Sunday. Despite some sunshine, temperatures will struggle to get out of the 20s and 30s for afternoon highs. Utah, Colorado and Kansas will be a bit milder with temperatures in the 50s and 60s. U.S. REGIONS: SOUTHWEST Showers and thunderstorms will continue to produce downpours in eastern Texas Saturday evening, but the rest of Texas and Oklahoma will dry out under a partly cloudy sky. The rest of the region will be mainly clear. Lows will range from the upper 20s in the high country to the middle 50s in central Texas to the lower 70s in the lower Rio Grande Valley. All but far southern Texas will dry out Sunday with partial sunshine. There can still be a shower or thunderstorm near the lower part of the Rio Grande River. The rest of the region will be mostly sunny and pleasant. Highs will range from the lower 60s in the mountains to the 80s along the Texas coast. U.S. REGIONS: SOUTHEAST A storm will produce rain from Tennessee to the southern Appalachians Saturday night. Thunderstorms will rumble through Arkansas and Louisiana. The rest of the region will be partly cloudy and mild. Lows will range from the upper 40s in the northwest to the upper 60s in southern Florida. Thunderstorms will bring rain to areas from Alabama to Mississippi and southeastern Louisiana Sunday. Rain will fall from Tennessee to western North Carolina. It will be warm and humid across the rest of the Southeast under some sunshine. Highs will range from the 50s in the north and west to the 80s in Florida and along the Gulf Coast. U.S. REGIONS: MIDWEST Low pressure will move over the Great Lakes Saturday night accompanied by a few rain and snow showers. Skies will be mostly cloudy in the north. The rest of the region will be partly cloudy. Lows will range from the teens in northern Minnesota to the 40s in Missouri. More cold air will push into the Upper Midwest Sunday. A few showers and flurries will move across the northern Great Lakes. Skies will be partly sunny in the south. Highs will range from near 30 in northern Minnesota to the 50s in the Ohio Valley. U.S. REGIONS: MID-ATLANTIC Skies will clear, and it will turn colder across Pennsylvania Saturday night. Partly to mostly cloudy elsewhere. There can be a shower or two in the south. Low temperatures will range from the middle 30s in the Appalachians to the middle 50s in southeastern Virginia. Clouds and rain will spread across the southern part of the region Sunday. The rest of the area will be dry under a mix of clouds and sunshine. High temperatures will range from the 40s in the Pennsylvania mountains to the upper 60s in southern Virginia. U.S. REGIONS: NORTHEAST There can be a few flurries or sprinkles in the Adirondacks and the Green and White mountains Saturday night; otherwise, it will turn chilly with a partly cloudy sky across the rest of the region. Lows will range from the 20s in the higher mountains to the 40s in Massachusetts and Connecticut. High pressure will build in over Pennsylvania Sunday, providing a mixture of clouds and sunshine. Brisk winds will buffet northern and central New England. Afternoon temperatures will rise into the 40s from Maine to the mountains of Pennsylvania, but will reach the lower 60s in New York City.
